Holiday Classic \u201cElf\u201d Screening at the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center During the Christmas in Hanover Festival<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hanover, PA<\/strong> \u2013 Main Street Hanover is spreading holiday cheer with a special screening of the beloved Christmas film Elf<\/em> (2003)<\/strong> at the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center<\/strong> on Saturday, November 29, 2025<\/strong>, as part of the annual Christmas in Hanover Festival<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Families and fans alike are invited to relive the magic and laughter of this modern holiday favorite starring Will Ferrell as Buddy the Elf<\/strong>. After accidentally crawling into Santa Claus\u2019s gift sack as a baby, Buddy grows up at the North Pole believing he\u2019s one of Santa\u2019s elves. His oversized presence causes chaos in Santa\u2019s workshop, leading him on a heartfelt and hilarious journey to New York City to find his real family and discover where he truly belongs.<\/p>\n

The mission of the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center is to provide cultural enrichment and educational experiences for youth and adults. The Eichelberger Building, one of Hanover\u2019s most iconic landmarks, has stood for over a century and boasts a 95-year legacy of education that began with Abdiel W. Eichelberger\u2019s academy. Donated for public school use in 1900, his vision was for it to remain an institution of learning forever. Today, the building houses professional offices and the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center\u2014continuing Captain Eichelberger\u2019s mission by offering arts and educational programs that inspire and educate the community.<\/p>\n

Main Street Hanover and the Christmas in Hanover Committee Announce 2025 Volunteer of the Year: Donald Hamme<\/strong><\/p>

Hanover, PA<\/strong> \u2013 Main Street Hanover and the Christmas in Hanover Committee are proud to announce Donald Hamme<\/strong> as the 2025 recipient of the Andrea Niehoff Goodson Volunteer of the Year Award<\/strong>. This annual award honors individuals who embody the spirit of community, dedication, and holiday cheer that Andrea so passionately brought to Hanover throughout her life.<\/p>

Donald\u2019s commitment to the Hanover community runs deep. Known for his warm personality, humor, and authenticity, Donald is a familiar face at nearly every downtown event\u2014always ready to lend a helping hand. Whether it\u2019s assisting with the annual tree lighting, decorating downtown for the holidays, or volunteering with the Hanover Area Historical Society, Donald consistently goes above and beyond to make Hanover shine.<\/p>

Each year, Donald dedicates countless hours to transforming the Warehime-Myers Mansion into a holiday wonderland for the Christmas Tree Tours, often using his own vacation time to complete the work. He\u2019s also instrumental in designing and crafting ornaments for Christmas in Hanover fundraisers and helping restore beloved community icons such as Santa\u2019s Cabin. From working tirelessly behind the scenes to make Christmas in Hanover magical, to sharing and promoting the town\u2019s history during summer events, Donald\u2019s dedication and impact shine all year long.<\/p>

\u201cDonald truly embodies the heart of what makes Hanover special,\u201d said Moriah Tyler, Executive Director of Main Street Hanover<\/strong>. \u201cHis tireless efforts, generosity, and enthusiasm for preserving our community\u2019s traditions are an inspiration to us all.\"<\/p>

The Andrea Niehoff Goodson Volunteer of the Year Award<\/strong> was established to honor Andrea\u2019s remarkable legacy as Hanover\u2019s ultimate community cheerleader and Santa\u2019s best elf. Her leadership of the Hanover Christmas Committee made the town a magical destination, bringing joy to thousands through cherished traditions like the 85-year-old Santa Cabin and the annual holiday parade.<\/p>

Donald will be formally recognized as the Grand Marshal of the 2025 Christmas in Hanover Parade<\/strong> and honored during the Tree Lighting Ceremony<\/strong> on Saturday, November 29, 2025.<\/p>
