On Saturday, February 14, 2026, the community is invited to enjoy <\/span>Valen-Tour Downtown<\/em>, the February 2nd Saturday theme, offering a full day of activities, dining, shopping, and entertainment designed to help you connect, celebrate, and make lasting memories.<\/span><\/p>\n

Whether you\u2019re planning a romantic date night, a cozy lunch, a family outing, or a fun day with friends, downtown Hanover offers something for everyone. From hands-on creative experiences and interactive games to delicious meals, sweet treats, unique gifts, and live performances, Valen-Tour Downtown encourages visitors to explore all that downtown businesses have to offer throughout the day.<\/p>\n

Couples and friends can get creative by painting ceramics together at COB51 Art Studio<\/strong> or crafting custom candles at Cultivated Essentials Co.\u2019s<\/strong> BYOB DIY Candle Studio. Those looking for excitement can crack codes at Escape Confusion<\/strong>, tee off at The Golf Loft<\/strong>, or enjoy classic fun with over 80 arcade games and pinball machines at Timeline Arcade<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Downtown restaurants will be serving up memorable meals all day long, including authentic Italian cuisine at La Cucina<\/strong>, seasonal American dishes with Mediterranean influences at Oak<\/strong>, and handcrafted soups, sandwiches, entr\u00e9es, house-brewed beers, and craft cocktails at Warehouse Gourmet<\/strong>. Dessert lovers can indulge in cakes, cookies, and cupcakes from The Cake Bar<\/strong> or savor cannoli, gelato, and Italian desserts from Vinny\u2019s Italian Market.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shoppers will find thoughtful Valentine\u2019s gifts at Pressell\u2019s Florist & Greenhouse<\/strong>, romance-inspired reads at Seventh Shelf,<\/strong> and unique clothing, accessories, home d\u00e9cor, fragrance, and one-of-a-kind art at Wicked Gems Boutique.<\/strong> The evening can be capped off with laughter at Church of Satire Comedy Club<\/strong> or live music and theater at the historic Eichelberger Performing Arts Center.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to Valen-Tour offerings, several special 2nd Saturday events will be happening throughout downtown. Cultivated Essentials Co.<\/strong> will offer 10% off all day as part of their no-reservation-required BYOB candle studio experience. The Hanover Area Artists Guild<\/strong> will host story time and kids crafts from 1\u20133pm featuring local authors and illustrators. Fat Bat Brewing Company<\/strong> will welcome local artists for a vendor pop-up in their fermenting room from 1\u20136pm, combining shopping with craft beer. Little Fox Coffee & Books<\/strong> will host storytime with Miss Kelly from 10:30\u201311:15am, followed by a Queer Friend Mixer at 6pm. The Serpent\u2019s Key Shoppe & Sanctuary<\/strong> will offer its Pay What You Can Tea Bar from 10am\u20136pm and a special Valentine\u2019s Day Vegan Pop-Up from 11am\u20133pm featuring seasonal, plant-based foods and gluten-free baked goods from This Is a Farmhouse.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hanover, PA<\/strong> \u2014 Salinas Mini Mart, LLC is redefining the local food scene with a vibrant blend of authentic Mexican cuisine, international snacks, and heartfelt community connection at its storefront located at <\/span>14 W. Chestnut Street, Hanover, PA 17331<\/strong>. Open daily from <\/span>9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.<\/strong>, Salinas Mini Mart offers both a colorful international market and a welcoming restaurant experience under one roof.<\/span><\/p>

At the heart of Salinas Mini Mart is its whimsical and eye-catching logo: the axolotl<\/strong>, a deeply meaningful symbol in Mexican and Mesoamerican culture. In Mexico, the axolotl represents transformation, resilience, sacrifice, and rebirth<\/strong>, rooted in the Aztec story of the god Xolotl<\/strong>, who transformed into the creature to escape death before ultimately being sacrificed for the creation of the Fifth Sun. Known for its ability to regenerate limbs, the axolotl also symbolizes perseverance, duality, and renewal\u2014bridging life and death, earth and the underworld. The blue and pink colors of the logo honor co-owner Diana<\/strong>\u00a0and her brother Edwin<\/strong>, reflecting family, balance, and shared purpose.<\/p>

Those themes resonate deeply with the story behind the business. At 19, Diana was diagnosed with cancer and faced the possibility that either the disease or chemotherapy could take her life. Today, at 27, she is a survivor, a mother, and a business owner. \u201cWhen you\u2019re in that situation, it\u2019s hard to look ahead and dream,\u201d Diana shares. \u201cI\u2019m so grateful I survived. I never imagined I would own a business. Tomorrow isn\u2019t promised, but when you count your blessings, everything finds its own solution in time.\u201d<\/p>

Inspired by their mother, who owns La Libertad <\/strong>on Baltimore Street, Diana and Edwin grew up immersed in the food business and developed a love for both its challenges and its power to bring people together. Their shared vision was to bring new flavors and cultural experiences to Hanover, a town they proudly call home. Through traveling to cities like Baltimore and Chicago, and sourcing snacks from around the world\u2014including recently arrived chocolate-covered Oreos from Egypt\u2014they aim to make global flavors accessible and affordable for the local community.<\/p>

Salinas Mini Mart\u2019s restaurant focuses on a small, thoughtfully crafted menu<\/strong>, emphasizing quality and tradition. All meats are cut and marinated in-house, tortillas are handmade for signature dishes, and flavors are carefully balanced. Highlights include:<\/p>
