The Hanover Area Historical Society is relocating its research collection within the Guthrie Memorial Library at 2 Library Place. The research center where our collections will be located will be renamed the Hormel History and Research Center, formerly known as the Glenn Hormel Reading Room.<\/p>\n
In addition to the expanded facilities that will now be available to our researchers, archivist, and volunteers, the Hanover Area Historical Society will take over curatorship of the collections of Hanover Borough\u2019s Pennsylvania Room. In our new space, the Yelland Library located within the Hormel History and Research Center, we will be joined by the volunteers of the Pennsylvania Room so we will be able to offer additional hours of operation each week<\/p>\n
The Hormel History and Research Center will feature our collections of Hanover\u2019s history and genealogical research. Our volunteer staff is experienced, knowledgeable and passionate about local history and are available to assist you with your research requests.<\/p>\n
