"The Women of Valley Forge" with Diana Loski

In the winter of 1777-1778, the conditions that George Washington’s army endured were dreadful. In February of 1778, Martha Washington would visit her husband in camp and proceed to care for the wounded. She would then implore other women to join her. Diana Loski will speak on what the women of Valley Forge did to help lift the spirits of the soldiers during the revolution.

Diana Loski has been a published writer for 20 years, specializing in history and biography for 20 years. With eight ancestors who fought in the American Civil War (seven Union and one Confederate), she naturally has an intense interest in that conflict. Diana served as a licensed battlefield guide at Gettysburg National Military Park, from 1998-2006. She and her husband, Leonard, have published The Gettysburg Experience, a local Gettysburg magazine, since 1997.

Take a step back into history with a tour of the historic Neas House. Open the second Saturday of each month from April - December, the 1783 home is open for guided tours and features living history demonstrations. The Neas House was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. It contains household goods, period furniture and personal items of the Neas family. With faux-finished woodwork in the style of the era, there are nine rooms, nine fireplaces and a fully furnished warming kitchen with exposed timbers.

There will be wizard activities and crafts related to both Oz and Hogwarts such as potions, trivia and craft time…perfect for any Potter, Wicked or Wizard of Oz fan! With instructors from the Hanover Symphony Orchestra

The Eichelberger Music Camp for Wind Instruments, a day-camp for flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, french horn, trombone and tuba players entering grades 6 – 10 in the fall of 2026, will take place at the Eich the week of June 29, 2026 during the hours of 9:00 am until 12:00 noon, with a culminating performance at 2:00 pm on Friday July 3, 2026. Students will spend the week playing in the Summer Camp Orchestra and chamber ensembles, as well as participating in instrument masterclass demonstrations by members of the Hanover Symphony Orchestra, ear-training classes, small-group musicianship training, and individual technique instruction. Topics in ensembles and classes will include, but are not limited to, proper playing position and posture, music literacy, simple and compound rhythm, finger patterns and techniques, bow markings and techniques, tone production, and non-verbal communication/teamwork in both small and large ensemble settings. Register and pay for camp by clicking the Tickets button.

Our July 1 concert features the Hanover Symphony brass ensemble. The performance includes a salute to our community's police, fire and ambulance crews. Come out and show your support for our first responders and enjoy an evening filled with music on the lawn of the Warehime-Myers Mansion. Free admission, donations welcome. Trying To Get The Feeling Again sees Harriet perform new interpretations of her favorite sounds of the 70s with her live band following the release of her new album of the same name. Including hits by The Carpenters, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Carole King, Barry Manilow, Christopher Cross and more, interlaced with her nostalgic original material.

Take a step back into history with a tour of the historic Neas House. Open the second Saturday of each month from April - December, the 1783 home is open for guided tours and features living history demonstrations. The Neas House was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. It contains household goods, period furniture and personal items of the Neas family. With faux-finished woodwork in the style of the era, there are nine rooms, nine fireplaces and a fully furnished warming kitchen with exposed timbers.

With instructors from the Hanover Symphony Orchestra

The Eichelberger Music Camp for Wind Instruments, a day-camp for flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, french horn, trombone and tuba players entering grades 6 – 10 in the fall of 2026, will take place at the Eich the week of June 29, 2026 during the hours of 9:00 am until 12:00 noon, with a culminating performance at 2:00 pm on Friday July 3, 2026. Students will spend the week playing in the Summer Camp Orchestra and chamber ensembles, as well as participating in instrument masterclass demonstrations by members of the Hanover Symphony Orchestra, ear-training classes, small-group musicianship training, and individual technique instruction. Topics in ensembles and classes will include, but are not limited to, proper playing position and posture, music literacy, simple and compound rhythm, finger patterns and techniques, bow markings and techniques, tone production, and non-verbal communication/teamwork in both small and large ensemble settings. Register and pay for camp by clicking the Tickets button.

Trying To Get The Feeling Again sees Harriet perform new interpretations of her favorite sounds of the 70s with her live band following the release of her new album of the same name. Including hits by The Carpenters, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Carole King, Barry Manilow, Christopher Cross and more, interlaced with her nostalgic original material.

This nostalgic show transports audiences back to the 1970s where they are able to connect with each other through a mutual love of this wonderful music while experiencing all the feelings that this coveted era evokes in us.
